About The Course
Advanced Manuel Facial Reconstruction Course (Level II) takes a multidisciplinary approach to 3A (Art, Anthropology and Anatomy). It covers the reconstruction of the face based on the bony structure of the skull. Participants will build facial muscles on to the face using clay.
Topics discussed will include;
Creating a biological profile (age, sex, & ancestry estimation from the face)
Skeletal and muscular anatomy of the head and neck
Facial soft tissue thicknesses
Principles of forensic & archaeological reconstructions
Prediction of the nose and the mouth
Regression Formulas for determination of the facial features
Principles of craniofacial aging
Practical facial reconstruction study
