Facial Reconstruction

It in the vicinity west of the Tios/Filyos Ridge, where Zonguldak province’s fortress was located, the history of Tios (ancient Filyos) dates back from the end of the 4th to the start of the 3rd century BC. 

 

A facial reconstruction was produced from the skull of a caucasian male soldier, aged 30-40 years, from the excavation work performed in 2011 in Tios antique city. The facial reconstruction procedure following the Manchester method was applied onto the skull in order to depict the face of the soldier as close to his appearance prior to death as possible.
